  3. Verify every address

    Duplicates are removed first, then each address runs through seven checks ending in a live SMTP handshake. Follow progress as it runs.

What to know before you upload your first list.

What is bulk email verification?

Bulk email verification checks every address in a list before you send to it. RocketVerifier checks syntax, the domain and its MX records, disposable and role addresses, catch-all behaviour and the mailbox itself with a live SMTP handshake, then returns a status, a reason and a score for each address so you can remove the ones that would bounce.

Which file formats and sizes can I upload?

Upload CSV, TSV, TXT or XLSX files of up to 50 MB, or import a file from a public URL. Each job holds up to 100,000 emails. You choose the email column and see a preview before the job starts. You can also verify lists directly from integrations such as HubSpot, Mailchimp and Salesforce.

How long does it take to clean a list?

Bulk jobs process up to 100,000 emails per hour, and you can follow progress live in the dashboard. Over the API, a signed job.completed webhook tells your system the moment results are ready.

Am I charged for duplicates or unknown results?

No. Duplicate addresses are removed before billing, and addresses returned as unknown are never charged. Connect your sending platform and every hard bounce on an address we marked deliverable is refunded automatically.

Can I import the results back into my email platform?

Yes. Download a CSV or JSON file with your original columns included, filtered to the outcomes you want. If you are switching from another provider, you can export in a familiar column layout so your existing import rules keep working. Lists synced from an integration can have results written back to each contact.

What happens to my list after verification?

Uploaded lists are deleted automatically after a retention period you control, 90 days by default, and you can delete them sooner at any time. Traffic is encrypted with TLS, and RocketVerifier never sends an email to the addresses it verifies.
